Must-watch US games

My former boss Paul Oberjuerge wrote on his blog about how he recently discovered this site run by Dave Brett Wasser. It's a fantastic resource as Dave has collected quite the number of soccer videos. Dave has a collection that dates back decades.

Anyway, Paul wrote about his list of 10 US games he'd love to see. He's actually covered several of them.

Paul covered several World Cups, from Italy '90 all the way through Japan/Korea '02. He would have covered Mexico '86 but got sent to cover Wimbledon instead. Paul lived through what he referred to recently as the "golden age" of newspaper journalism, in which the paper sent him to cover many things all around the world. In fact, one of the games he put on his list - US-Brazil in the 98 Gold Cup - he was unable to cover because he was in Japan covering the Olympics. Nowadays, The Sun would never send anybody to cover anything like they used to back in the heyday, but that's another topic for another day.

So check out the list and see what US games a former World Cup journalist thinks is worth watching again.
