Chivas USA inked four players to developmental contracts on Wednesday:
- Keith Savage, 22, M, SuperDraft pick
- Justin Braun, 20, F, Preki actually plucked Braun out of nowhere. Braun participated in an amatuer tournament at Home Depot Center with the Utah Select Team. Braun is a native of Salt Lake City and was a standout at Skyline High school. I've seen him at training and he looked pretty solid the times I saw him.
- Lance Parker, 22, GK from Missouri State
- Daniel Paladini, 23, former Galaxy supplemental draft choice
As with any developmental player, the team stands little to lose if these guys don't pan out. And as with any developmental player, the odds of these guys making a big impact this season are slim. But they've survived training camp and could stand to see playing time in Chivas' busy summer, provided they are still on the roster then.
